Floodwood and Cromwell-Wright School Boards met jointly on January 28, 2026, to continue discussing the possibility of sharing a superintendent.
The session was facilitated by the Minnesota School Boards Association and focused on governance considerations, district needs, and potential structures for a shared leadership model.
Floodwood Superintendent Susan Hoeft, who has announced her retirement effective June 30, 2026, and Cromwell-Wright Superintendent Nathan Libbon, who has expressed interest in serving in a shared role, were both present to support the discussion.
No decisions have been made at this time. Floodwood will hold a special meeting on February 3, 2026 at 6:00 pm, and Cromwell-Wright will hold a special meeting on February 4, 2026 at 5:30 pm, to continue discussions on whether to move forward with a superintendent-sharing agreement.
