UPDATE 11/25/2020

The Cromwell-Wright School Board, Superintendent and School Nurse would like to provide an update on our current model of learning.

We acknowledge that our county numbers are high, however the number of positive cases in our school and community are low. To date, only 4 cases were in our building when potentially infectious.  All close contacts were able to be identified and quarantined at home which helped contain further transmission of the virus.

Each week we meet with our local public health and regional public health teams to address the COVID pandemic and safest model of school for our community.  At this time, we will be allowed to continue our in-person learning model based on the local data available to those teams.

As a district we will continue to be as transparent as possible by updating the COVID dashboard on our website when new cases arise in the school community.  We will continue to keep kids socially distanced in their classrooms while wearing masks thus limiting potential exposure for your children.

In order to continue in this model we need help from all of our families.  PLEASE keep your children home if they are experiencing any symptoms out of the ordinary.  Please report those symptoms to the school nurse and be advised on the next course of action.  This simple first step is what is keeping our transmission low; we appreciate all the diligent efforts from our families to date.

With the rapid community spread we are experiencing, COVID transmission is all hindsight. There is no way to know two days from now how you are going to feel, so we ask that you follow Governor Walz’s executive Order 20-99 and limit the persons you are in contact with so we can all continue to be together in the building safely.

Stay Safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
