Transportation 2020-21

Cromwell-Wright Bus Service

Welcome to the 2020/2021 school year!

Although things may look different this year, please know that Cromwell-Wright Bus Service is still committed to offering the safest mode of transportation for your child(ren). If you have not been contacted with new bus route information; please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, Jessica Larson, at 763-286-6835. All families will be contacted the week before school starts. If you do not plan to utilize bus transportation each day, please contact us ASAP, so we may continue planning.

Due to new restrictions to increase health and safety of all of our riders, routes and routines have changed. Your regular bus # and driver may not be the same as last year as we have worked very hard to accommodate and make each bus route the safest and most efficient we possibly can.

It is our #1 goal for each student who rides the bus to have a safe and orderly ride, every day. PLEASE HELP US by:

  • Talking to your child(ren) about appropriate behavior at the bus stop and on the bus

  • Ensuring your child(ren) has a mask on when he/she loads the school bus

  • Educate them on the importance of keeping the mask on for the duration of the route.

Minimizing the spread of germs is a top priority. Masks are MANDATORY.

A few things that are different this year:

  • Children will not be allowed to ride a different bus to another person’s bus stop. You will only be allowed to ride your normal bus.  This is because we must ensure all buses do not exceed 50% capacity per recommendations and guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Education and Minnesota Department of Health.

  • Children will load the bus BACK TO FRONT, and families will sit together. There will be seats blocked off to ensure proper distancing between riders.

  • When unloading at the school, students will unload FRONT TO BACK to eliminate crossing each other as much as possible.

  • The driver will assist in letting the students know where to sit if there is confusion. Assigned seats will be utilized.

  • Increased sanitation will continue per COVID-19 Cleaning and Disinfecting Guidance for Schools and Childcare Programs

It is important for parents to know that school supervision of (and responsibility for) students begins when students board the school bus—NOT while they are waiting at the bus stop. Student’s behavior on the school bus is crucial for a safe and efficient ride.

As stated before, please contact me directly with any bus changes, whether it is for the day or for the year. (i.e. a student will not need morning pickup, a student will go to Mom’s instead of Dad’s, etc.) I also encourage sharing schedules that are made ahead of time, they will be shared with the bus driver and limit the amount of last minute phone calls for clarification.

I am looking forward to a safe and enjoyable school year together!

Jessica Larson, Transportation Director
